How it started
1970
Craig T. Hamilton, known as Tom, leaves his precast concrete employer and sets out on his own.
Spring 1971
Craig’s Construction Specialties opens its doors. Tom and his partner Elmer Shell go on to develop the XA mesh chair, the feature product of the line.
2009
After Craig passes, the business goes to his children. His son Todd Hamilton is now President.
2011
The business office, manufacturing and warehouse move into one facility. Fewer moving parts has kept price increases small while oil, plastic and steel costs rose. The line grew to include rebar chairs with base, stackable chairs, caged chairs and bolster chairs.
How we work
Engineering, production and warehouse sit in the same building.

Next day shipping
Most items are in stock and ship by the next day. Shipping is not included in the carton prices.
Reach us after hours
You can reach the team after business hours by cell phone and email.
Plastic that gets reused
Unused plastic is ground and put back into the resin for certain products, such as the stackable rebar chair.
